Experience The Difference

What distinguishes Naturopathic care is not just the therapies we use, but also our philosophy.

We Treat Individuals, Not Their Diagnosis

We focus on treating the whole person, not just their symptoms or diagnosis. Recognizing the uniqueness of each individual’s genetics, life experiences, and mental and emotional styles, we aim to restore balance and enhance vitality in a way that supports long-term health and longevity.

We Treat Underlying Imbalances

Our approach goes beyond merely alleviating symptoms to address the root causes of health issues. Much like clearing out the “garbage” to prevent future problems, we focus on identifying and resolving underlying imbalances to promote enduring vitality and prevent recurrence.

We Treat Holistically

We view health as an integrated whole, where physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects are interconnected. By addressing all areas that compromise your well-being and seeking to restore balance, we support not only immediate relief but also sustained vitality and overall longevity.

We Support the Natural Healing Process

We facilitate your body’s innate ability to heal by removing obstacles and addressing deficiencies that hinder the healing process. By nourishing these areas and supporting natural mechanisms, we enhance your overall health, fostering both immediate well-being and long-term vitality.

Meet

Dr. Stacy Mulkey

Stacy first became intrigued by the unique nature of plants soon after winning first place at a local science fair back in junior high school. As a mid-westerner, she always enjoyed gardening with her dad, but never knew just exactly how nature would play a role in future career. Her journey began by taking many science-based classes like Biology, Botany and Chemistry while earning her degree in Radiology at Ball State University. She enjoyed working with patients as a Nuclear Medicine technologist, but often wondered what happened to the patients after they received their test results. To satisfy her curiosity regarding the clinical side of medicine, Stacy then moved back to Illinois with the intention of pursuing a career in conventional medicine. Meanwhile, she started reading more books by Andrew Weil, Carolyn Myss, Deepak Chopra, and Bernie Segal. She became interested in nutrition and herbal medicine and started learning about the mind-body connection and its role in disease…she yearned to discover more.
In her quest for knowledge regarding alternative medicine therapies, Stacy happened to find an internet entry about naturopathic medicine…or did it find her? She was so elated to find that there were ways to integrate her love for plants and nutrition with her passion for healing! She headed west to continue the journey at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ. In this setting she had the opportunity to train with many different physicians who nurtured their patients using herbal medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture, and nutritional therapies. These healers treated a wide range of acute and chronic diseases. She also had the opportunity to learn about addictions and mental health issues ranging from acute care at the Mission of Mercy, to the chronically ill patients at AIDS Project AZ.

Dr. Mulkey’s total healthcare experience spans over 30+ years, including 10 years working in the conventional hospital setting prior to attending naturopathic medical school. She is extremely grateful for that time she spent working in the hospital because it gave her a sense of satisfaction and appreciation in caring for people. However, she soon learned that despite all the advances that have been made in modern medicine, there were still too many people with chronic diseases that were not being helped. Her basic philosophy includes helping others discover the root cause of symptoms and addressing the person as a whole body, mind, and spirit to help the body heal itself. She believes that the best way to accomplish this goal is by blending the best of our time-honored nature cures, such as herbal medicine, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, and nutritional therapies, with more recent advances in medicine such as neurotransmitter testing and photodynamic light therapy.

Dr. Mulkey earned her B.S. in dual majors of Biology and Health Care Management from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1993. She graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2004 and established a busy private practice in Phoenix and was extremely excited and honored to join the very talented team at Namaste in 2010. Her practice has evolved to specialize in chronic disease, which includes but is not limited to integrative oncology, autoimmune disorders, digestive disturbances, thyroid and other hormone imbalances, chronic fatigue due to low adrenal function, chronic EBV or long-haul COVID, and of course the hot topic of longevity and living a life of vitality as we age! Dr. Mulkey has a family practice and enjoys helping people of all ages along their path to optimal health.
